Preparing your vehicle
- Have the original title and registration ready — vehicles generally cannot be exported without them.
- If the vehicle is financed or leased, obtain written permission from your lender.
- Run the tank down to around a quarter full and remove all personal items.
- Check your destination country’s rules on vehicle imports, emissions and taxes early, as they vary widely.
