Crating of Antiques & Artwork

Crating of Antiques & Artwork

Antiques, artwork, sculpture and irreplaceable heirlooms deserve far more than a cardboard box. We build bespoke wooden crates measured precisely for each piece, holding it firmly and protecting it from impact on its journey anywhere in the world.

What we crate

  • Paintings, framed art and mirrors
  • Antique furniture and family heirlooms
  • Statues, sculpture and stone pieces
  • Pianos, chandeliers and grandfather clocks
  • The truly unusual — from a prehistoric fossil to a complete stone-veneer kitchen

How bespoke crating works

  1. Measure. Each piece is measured so its crate fits precisely, with no room to shift.
  2. Wrap. Delicate surfaces, frames and finishes are wrapped and padded.
  3. Build. A sturdy wooden crate is built around the piece and braced internally for its shape and weight.
  4. Label and ship. Crates are labeled, recorded on your inventory and loaded for sea or air transport.

Crated pieces should be insured at their replacement value in your destination country — learn more about insurance for your move.
